After a stint at MITRE, he joined Sun Microsystems as a Systems Engineer, leading significant federal projects for intelligence and defense agencies. Seeking to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, he founded ComPath in the early 1990s, pioneering the transformation of cable television plants into Internet broadband networks, growing the company to $18 million in seven years. Despite ComPath’s closure due to the 2000 market crash, Mark launched Digital Homes, focusing on smart home and cloud computing solutions.
