From cyberManor to Daisy, our 25-year History

Our History Timeline

1999

Company founded by information technology veteran Gordon van Zuiden. Gordon previously co-founded Edge Information Systems in 1985, a $35 million information technology company.

2000

Industry first Smart Home video produced and distributed by CISCO, filmed entirely at cyberManor. Gordon became a Subject Matter Expert for Cisco’s Home Integrator Program.

2001

Awarded one of the largest residential IP network integrated projects in the United States – the Naval post-graduate school Admirals Quarters in Monterey, California.

2002

Followed up the Navy Project with a large Premise Systems IP integrated residential project in Reno, Nevada. This project was one of 3 national finalists at the Expo Mark of Excellence Awards.

2003

Completed the first Sunset Showcase home in partnership with DeMattei Construction in Willow Glen, San Jose.

2004

cyberManor became a monthly columnist for Electronic House Magazine on audio video and data networking solutions for the home.

2005

cyberManor was featured on TechTV and CNET for their residential integration knowledge and showcase home installations.

2006

Completed 2 more Sunset Technology showcase homes for DeMattei Construction in Los Gatos, CA. These new homes featured whole house audio/video media center based solutions.

2007

Completed HP Digital Showcase home at their Executive Briefing Center in Cupertino, CA. This showcase features integrated lighting, whole house audio, security, camera, intercom, and server based video solutions.

2008

Completed award winning Lifeware Media Center installation for a new home Sunnyvale, CA. Received the prestigious Microsoft Ultimate Residential Installation in 2008.

2009

cyberManor recognized as one of the Top 3 Residential Integrators in the US by the Consumer Electronics Association Mark of Excellence Awards, and the only company serving Northern California. Completed over 500 residential integration projects to date. cyberManor featured in a cover story column in CE Pro Magazine.

2010

Accepted invitation to construct the 4^th Sunset Home in Los Gatos with DeMattei Construction featuring whole house control suctions from Control4 using the Apple iPad and Apple iPhone platforms. Opening of our new office in Los Gatos.

2011

cyberManor begins a three year office remodeling effort to update their 1926 school building office into a showcase of connected home technologies to give clients, builders, architects, and interior designers interactive tours of these solutions.

2012

The LEED Platinum Holland Yates Residence, featured as the Electronic House’s Home of the Month in their December 2012 issue, is recognized by the Consumer Electronics Association as the Sustainable Project of the Year for 2012.

2013

cyberManor works with Mehus Construction to install “best of breed” systems for a new custom home in Los Gatos, CA. Lutron, Sonos, Nest, and Roomie Remote systems are selected as the primary home technology solutions controllable from an iPad Mini located in each room of the house.

2014

cyberManor is selected by Barry Swenson Builder to design and implement a home technology infrastructure for 19 custom condominiums in Mountain View, CA that support the latest home entertainment, comfort, and security technologies tailored to the specific needs of each homeowner.

2015

The San Jose Mercury News and the Los Gatos Weekly run columns on cyberManor’s newly completed Smart Home Experience Center and iPad app which showcase the benefits of cyberManor’s integrated best of breed smart home technologies.

2016

cyberManor completes some of the first voice based total home control solutions from Amazon and JoshAI for their residential clients.

2017

cyberManor merges with AVNC, a local established 25 year home technology integration company with exceptional expertise and high end audio and home theater offerings.

2018

Control4 initiates their Certified Showroom program and awards cyberManor with one of only 2 Certified showroom designations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

2019

cyberManor powers their new Control4 certified showroom with solar photovoltaic panels, the sonnen battery and the Adapt Energy Management Platform.

2020

cyberManor celebrates 20 years in business with the Grand Opening of their new 900 square foot 1BR, 1.5 Bath townhome located directly behind their main office.

2021

The cyberManor campus now showcases residential technologies for retrofit, new construction, and outdoor living spaces in their expanded 2700 square foot Los Gatos headquarters.

2022

cyberManor is honored with the Consumer Technology Association’s Mark of Excellence Award for 2022 for their recently completed New Home Technology Center – a national honer recognized in the San Jose Mercury News and Los Gatos Weekly.

2023

cyberManor lodges their 50^th new AirB&B guest in their Smart Home Experience Center home, receiving an average review of 4.97 out of 5.0, proving the acceptance and reliability of cyberManor’s smart home solution offerings.

2024

cyberManor celebrates its’ 25^th year in business and is purchased by Daisy Company as their flagship Northern California office on February 26^th, 2024.
