Inspired Integration

Daisy delivers simple, refined technology for a design-driven Colorado home.

These homeowners know exactly what they like, and just as importantly, what they don’t. Their 5,000-square-foot home, one of seven custom-built homes in an exclusive Littleton, Colorado, enclave, was meticulously designed and beautifully curated as a showpiece. A major high-tech overhaul, they felt, could easily jeopardize the home’s refined aesthetic. Still, a few essentials were important to their daily living: stable Wi-Fi, streaming music in key rooms, a modern yet manageable entertainment system, and a straightforward, dependable security solution.

They weren’t asking for much in terms of technology, but for Matt Cassidy of Daisy’s Boulder location, the project was still deeply worthwhile. It demonstrated the power of the “soft sell” and reflected Daisy’s customer-first ethos as a trusted, long-term technology advisor.

Listening, Not Pushing

Success wouldn’t come from pushing more technology into the space. It would come from understanding the family’s comfort level and designing a system that aligned with their lifestyle. Rather than overwhelming them with options, Matt focused solely on what they said mattered: reliable performance, intuitive control, discreet integration, and absolutely no surprises.

“They wanted to engage effortlessly with the tech in their home,” Matt explains, “but within boundaries. Not because of cost, but because of design. Their home is stunning. Our job was to honor that by selecting the right products and installing them thoughtfully.”

Strengthening the Backbone First

Before any new technology could be introduced, the home’s cabling infrastructure needed attention. The property had previously been a showhome, so it was already well prewired, but Cassidy and his team knew it needed more horsepower to support the systems the family wanted.

By adding professional-grade Araknis routers, switches, and access points — paired with the OvrC remote monitoring platform — they created a robust, resilient foundation for the entire home. The upgraded network ensured strong, consistent Wi-Fi coverage in every room and across every level, providing the stable connectivity essential for all connected devices to perform at their best.

Simple, Refined Audio Throughout the Home

With the network foundation solidly in place, Cassidy shifted his attention to the systems the family would use every day, starting with whole-home audio and a home theater setup. They weren’t looking for the biggest display or loudest sound; rather well-rounded, easily managed entertainment in the spaces they actually lived in: the living room, kitchen, dining room, recreation room, and back patio.

Leveraging the existing prewire, Daisy deployed a dedicated Sonos Amp for each zone, paired with Origin Acoustics D-Series and Sonance VX62R speakers recessed discreetly into the ceiling. Each speaker was strategically placed to maintain the home’s design integrity while delivering rich, evenly distributed sound.

In the recreation room, Daisy created a clean, approachable 5.1 surround-sound setup anchored by a Sonos Arc mounted below a 75-inch Samsung OLED TV, with in-ceiling rear channels and an additional pair of speakers for everyday audio. A Sonos Sub completed the system, adding depth and balance without overwhelming the room.

Security Without Complexity

For security, Daisy installed a ClareOne security panel tied to sensors on all windows and exterior doors, along with a Ring Chime Pro and video doorbell to round out the system. Most security functions, such as viewing footage from the Ring camera, can be handled through the mobile app, while a central touch panel in the mudroom provides quick, convenient activation and deactivation of the ClareOne system.

Respecting Design Integrity, Building Trust

By honoring the owners’ preference for simplicity over technical complexity, Daisy earned their trust, and with it, meaningful word-of-mouth referrals. From conception to completion, Cassidy and his team focused solely on the elements that truly mattered to the homeowners, integrating every system with intention and a deep respect for the home’s design. “We stayed in our lane the whole way,” Cassidy says. “The goal wasn’t to upsell; it was to earn their confidence in our capabilities as professional integrators. And now, when they build their next home in a few years, they’ve already told us that we’ll be doing more.”
